PLC and Wireless Communication-Based Water Quality Monitoring and Intelligent Drainage Control System

This project establishes an integrated solution for water quality monitoring, data transmission, and intelligent control. The PLC collects water quality parameters (e.g., COD, ammonia nitrogen, pH) in real time, transmits the data via serial port to a local touchscreen for visualization, and uploads encrypted data to a cloud-based monitoring platform through a DTU module, enabling remote centralized management.

For drainage control, the system dynamically issues commands through the platform to control PLC terminals, collecting real-time water volume and pressure data. When monitored values exceed preset thresholds, the system automatically activates the drainage pump. If the primary pump fails, the PLC terminal switches to the backup pump and reports the fault to the platform, which simultaneously sends SMS alerts to maintenance personnel, achieving a 5-minute fault response time to prevent sewage pipeline blockages.
